Polar bears are very large bears who live in the icy cold Arctic where The Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) can be seen.
Auroras are bright, dancing lights that form when electrically charged particles from the sun enter the earth’s atmosphere and collide. The scientific name for the northern lights is Aurora Borealis, while the scientific name for the southern lights is Aurora Australis.
In this lesson, children will draw a polar bear surrounded by the colors of The Northern Lights.
